‘Showers Christian High School, Beacon Of Quality Education’
The Founder of the Showers Christian High School, Mrs Ekama Emilia Akpan says the school is driving on the wheels of excellent educational system that will raise a generation of Godly future leaders through quality education.
Mrs Akpan stated this during a media interactive forum with journalists held at Silver News Office Complex, Grace Plaza, Woji, Port Harcourt recently,
The founder of the school, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Shower Group Group also said that the school inspires its students for aspire to excellent performance on the core foundation of hard work and godly values, adding that through those values, the students have set records of outstanding performance in both local and international examinations as well as in extra curriculum activities.
According to her, “in 2016, Showers celebrated some of her students that made waves around the world such as Christiana Udoh, who made first class in Chemical Engineering and distinction in her masters at the Kwame Nkurumah University of Science and Techology in Ghana Vernitra Utin, who broke the departments record in Metallurgical engineering in the same university Ghana. Uduak Akpan who posted second class upper in Public Health at Babock Unviersity Nigeria. Lemuel Barango, won $20,000 for an App he developed in Ottawa in Canada. There is Ephriam Isong who bagged a distinction in Cooperate law in the University of Hertfordshire in the UK and Promise Emery who made the VC’s list in his 200 level in Salem University with a CGPA of 4,74 of possible 5.”
“Testimonies of these have continued to flood in from Alumni as how the school approach to education helped them to achieve great grades. We appreciate God that our efforts to help shape the destinies of these young people and Nigeria, are acknowledged even by them and their families”, she added.
The National Vice Chairman of South-South Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)said the future of Nigeria depend on the quality of education adding that the government should not be left alone to bear the burden of providing quality education in the country.
She averred that the school was determined and focused to provide the needed leadership and manpower in the South-South region through qualitative education and urged parents to register their children into the A level programme of the school in other to equip their children face the realities of work of life, contrary to expectation Ekama opined that the school have qualified and motivated teachers with passion to raise celebrities and warn parents not to be in haste to send their children and wards who are below 18 years to study outside the shored of the country adding that they stand risk of losing their dreams.
