CONSAT Plans Service To All Rivers LGAs

L-R: President, Computer Professionals Registration Council, Prof Vincent Asor, Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu and Representative of the Vice President, Mr Akingbolahan Adeniran, at the 2016 Cyber Security Threats and Countermeasures in Abuja, recently
The Regional Sales
Coordinator, South South/South East operation of Consolidated satellite television (CONSAT), Mr Lebua Kogbara, said his company would link all the 23 local government areas in the state to the network.
He said the cable network has since distributed 23,000 decoders to all the local government areas in a bid to register its presence.
Kogbara in an exclusive interview with The Tide Wednesday, in Port Harcourt, said lack of dealers in the rural areas is part of the challenges affect ing their plans.
He noted that distribution in urban centres is not difficult, but wants the project to be viewed as human-oriented.
On the general assessment of the network, he said it has been wonderful and encouraging with minimal complaints.
He explained that both clarity and production have been stable even during strong wind.
The CONSAT representative attributed such development to a solid base foundation, saying that it is the basic thing in cable network business.
According to him, rectification would be easier once the base is solid no matter how poorly the engineer might have handled the job.
Concerning plans to improve on its services, he said plans were underway to ensure that the network was linked to European Premier League (EPL) and the champions league.
Upon successful linking of the two sports stations, he said the sky would be their starting point.
He has appealed to subscribers not to limit themselves to the N1,000 package alone, but also to step up to N4000 bouquet as it has cartoon net work which is preferred by kids.
