Group Wants Ex-Militants To Embrace Biometric Exercise

Following the introduc
tion of the biometric system in the amnesty programme, ex-militants have been urged to embrace the system in order to access the programmer.
The President of Niger Delta Coalition Against Violence (NDCAV), Comrade Christain B. Lakia, said this on Tuesday while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt, .
He said the leadership of NDCAV, considered the biometric system as a worthwhile venture due to the relevance of ICT in the nation.
Lekia noted that the system would help to streamline things in the programme that fraught with sharp practices.
According to him, digital / biometric procedure was the best way to encourage smooth administration of the amnesty programme.
The NDCAV leader, called on the ex-Niger Delta agitators not to see the advert of the system as plans to undo them, rather as a way of upholding the process.
He said that most countries of the world now use ICT in all their programmes, regretting that the biometric was not introduced in the amnesty programme from the onset.
The activist also tasked the leadership of the programme to ensure that the exercise met its expectations.
While calling on president Mohammadu Buhari to strictly introduce ICT/Soft ware development training for the ex-militants, he called on the boys to take each training programme seriously inorder to better their lives.
