The underlisted
Nollywod movies have turned out to be viewers’ delight. The Tide Entertainment reviews some of the block buster flicks of all times.
(1) – hidden Hunger
Majid Michel, Eve Esien, Beverly Naya, Benjamin Touitou and others made this 2015 movie a must watch.
In this movie, a man decides to throw a birthday bash for his girl friend. In the process the birthday bash turned sour after a gang of amateur robbers took over the event.
You need to watch Port Harcourt born ace comedian, Julius Agwu who plays one of the robbers in this new movie showcase his talent, be sure to crack your ribs when his comedic prowess – comes to play.
Other casts in the movie include, Yul Edochie, Bellinda Effah, Jude Orhora, Morris – Sesay etc.
(2) Mike Ezuruonye Goes Back to School
Ace Nollywood actor Mike Ezuruonye is back in school after many years away from the classroom. The script interpreter was forced back to school in a forth coming flick.
He was spotted rocking a school uniform in the movie titled “FIRST CLASS”. He is not the first actor to be playing this type of role in a Nigerian movie as the likes of Chioma Chukwuka and Mercy Johnson have equally done so in similar movies.
In his latest post on instagram, the proud father of one hinted that he is finally done with the movie and the embarrassment was just too much. “I am done”, he wrote.
Mike worked as a banker prior to becoming an actor. He has featured in several Nollywood movies. He is married to Nkechi Nnorom and has a son he named Roynold Nkembuchim Ezuruonye.
(3) Mr Ibu In London
After being left out in the cold without a home, John Okafor popularly known as “Mr Ibu was taken home by a friend whom he had saved from dying 15 years earlier.
His “Messiah” friend is married to a white woman who naturally does not need an intruder in her home, but later agreed to have him around.
One day, while Mr. Ibu was washing dishes, his friend’s wife gave him a friendly pat on the back and Ibu took it for a love advance. He initiated her touching him a second time and the thought of her dumping his friend for him came up.
Despite being scared of “fishing hook” on her lip, Mr. Ibu gets at every touch of hers. Meanwhile, before his going to London, Mr. Ibu was a poorly paid security guard who is incessantly mocked.
He hides inside a cargo container and finds himself homeless in the streets of London until surprisingly an old friend comes to his aid.
Mr Ibu in London features John Okafor (Mr Ibu), Charles Okocha, Nkiru Ughanze, Ishola Oshun, Rita Johnson and, others although this is not a current movie in Nollywood its popular demand by movie buffs has made the review necessary.
meanwhile, “Surviror” has emerged Silverbird Cinema’s movie of the week. This action, crime and thriller movie, stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Michelle Monaghan etc.
It is about a foreign service officer in London who tries to prevent a terrorist attack set to hit New York, but is forced to go on the run when she is framed for crimes she did not commit.
Another movie of the week is “Inside Out”, an animation, adventure and comedy movie that features Mr Peohler, Bill Hader and Lewis Black.
After young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions, Joy, fear, anger, disgust and sadness conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
