Minister Advocates Best Technology For Passengers’ Safety
Towards ensuring passengers’ safety and modernise navigational aids across Nigerian airports, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has visited some foreign countries, in order to gain knowledge on the use of NavAide drones.
Some of the places the Minister recently visited include Lichtenau, a border town between Strasbourg, France and Germany, to gain knowledge on the use of NavAide technology.
Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Minister, Mr Tunde Moshood, in a statement made available to newsmen, disclosed that NavAide drones is the latest technological innovation at Colibrex, the pioneering navigational aid firm in Lichtenau.
Moshood said the cutting-edge equipment would revolutionise navigational aids with its advanced capabilities in measurement and calibration.
“Following an insightful theoretical presentation, the Minister and his delegation were escorted to Barden Park, a nearby runway to Nuremberg airport, by a team comprising Dr Schone, Managing Director of LS Telcom, Luc Haebelae, Managing Director of Colibrex, and Cedric Gonzalez, Director of Sales and Marketing at Colibrex.
“Here, they witnessed firsthand the practical demonstration of the NavAide drone, showcasing its unparalleled technological relevance in airport measurements and calibrations.
“The introduction of NavAide drones underscores the unwavering commitment of Nigerian aviation authorities to embrace cutting-edge technology in their quest to enhance navigational systems.
“By leveraging such innovative solutions, the aviation sector aims to elevate safety standards and usher in a new era of efficiency and reliability across Nigerian airports.
“This significant visit marks a pivotal step forward in the modernization efforts of Nigerian aviation, reaffirming the government’s dedication to fostering excellence and ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers and stakeholders”, the statement highlighted.
