‘Enterprise Content Management ’ll Save N4bn Annually’
The Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr Kashifu Inuwa, has said that digitisation for service delivery and implementation of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) will save the country about N4 billion yearly.
Inuwa, who disclosed this in a statement issued by the Head, Corporate Affairs and External Relations in Abuja, Mrs Hadiza Umar, put the exact figure to be N4.5 billion annually, if all rules are followed.
He spoke via the Director, IT, Infrastructure Solutions (ITIS), Dr Usman Gambo, at a one-day ECM Service-Wide Round Table Workshop on ECM implementation with the topic “The Modalities of Software Clearance on ECM Solution for MDAs”.
The Tide gathered that the ECM was organised by the Office of Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) as a success factor required by any enterprise to survive and remain competitive in post-COVID-19 era.
According to him, it will aid information availability, agile business processes and conformity to governmental regulatory requirements.
