Stakeholder Urges Ekpeye Youths To Embrace Peace
Ekpeye youth leader, ,Comr Vincent Destiny has urged youths among Communities in Ahoada East local government to embrace peace
Comrade Vincent gave the advice during the 2021 Ulu Upata Wrestling festival kick off ceremony in Ahoada yesterday
Comr Vincent, Coordinator, National Youth Council, Ahoada East Chapter said peace and unity of any society were determined by the youth hence Ekpeye youths should embrace it for the social and economic growth of the ancient town
The Coordinator said time had come for the youth to desist from violence and cultism which might lead to early grave and shatter their dream of becoming future leaders
He assured that youths would support any meaningful programme intended to promote and preserve their cultural heritage
Comr Vincent said youth would never allow their cultural heritage to go extinct, and added that sustenance was the key
The Oyekwu Me ka 1 of Ihuoba meaning the son that opens hand said the youth would often throw their weight behind the traditional rulers, CDC and other stakeholders as they planned to rejuvenate ailing culture
He commended the traditional rulers over the organisation of this year’s wrestling festival.
