ICT Expert Wants Software For Rivers Teachers
The Rivers State
Government has been called to develop a software content for teachers in order to enable them source materials with ease from the internet.
The president of De-Klass Internet World, Mr Geo Obieh, said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt recently.
He said the move would enable teachers to source internationals materials from the immediate areas of operations.
Obieh, noted that the impact will also allow both the primary school pupils and secondary school students to enjoy what he described as meaningful teaching.
According to him, the pupils and students in the state ought to be trained to appreciate and have a better understanding of their peculiar circumstance and situation.
He further explained that the opportunity upon completion will place the students in a vintage position to compete favourably with their equals globally not withstanding their local background.
He also said that the content software development, will create soft lending for the implementation of the basic education curriculum in the state.
He also charged the state government on the need to employ more ICT teachers in the primary sector, saying that ICT has come to stay through improved knowledge-based education.
The Tide recalled that the state government had sometime in 2014, domesticated the nine-year Basic Education Curriculum.
