He stated this while briefing newsmen on the “Evaluation Movement” of the command recently in Port Harcourt.
Ogunsakin, noted that the IT initiative plays a crucial role in intelligence gathering and sharing.
According to him, the command has utilised the opportunity by creating an ultra-modern facility to enable its members, especially those in intelligent department, catch up with reality.
The Rivers State police boss, also said that they had set up a structure for human capital development to ensure that officers access the world through the internet on daily basis.
He explained that it would not only aid in their work, but would also brace-up both social and economic development.
“We have set up a structure for human capacity development in ensuring officers, access to the world through 24 hours to the internet”, he said.
He hinted that the scheme would soon be launched, saying that all necessary logistics for its take-off have been provided.
It would be recalled that many Nigerians have advocated e-policy as the best option to tackle insecurity in the country.
