Outage:IKEDC Appeals To Consumers In Ikotun, Others
The Ikeja Electricity
distribution Company (IKEDC) has appealed to consumers in Oko-Oba, Ikotun, Ijegun, Idimu, and Ipaja in Lagos over the irregular power supply in the last three weeks.
Assistant General Manager, Public Affairs, IKEDC, Mr Pekun Adeyanju, made the appeal in an interview with newsmen last Thursday in Lagos.
Adeyanju said that the outage was due to a faulty 60 KVA transformer at Akowonjo transmission station.
He said that the faulty transformer was owned by Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) which supplied electricity to IKEDC.
He, however, said that engineers from TCN were working on the transformer.
Adeyanju assured the affected consumers that power supply would be restored to them soon.
He urged the customers in the affected areas not to vandalise the IKEDC equipment in their communities because of the outage.
