Toby Hails Abe’s Quality Representation
Former Deputy Governor
of Rivers State, Sir Gabriel Toby says the people of Rivers South-East Senatorial District appreciate the quality of representation Senator Magnus Abe has given in the National Assembly.
He disclosed this while decorating Senator Abe as honorary member of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt at the Rotary Center, Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt.
Sir Toby said “It is my honour to decorate a very distinguished man”, noting that Senator Abe had distinguished himself in many ways.
Responding, Senator Abe commended Rotary International for what it has achieved across the world and lauded the club for finding him worthy to be honoured.
Abe, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) declared, “we will indeed be honourable in our conduct and in association with this club. We will support the club, not just today, but as long as we are called upon to do so”.
In another development, Senator Magnus Abe has congratulated Mene Suanu Baridam, the Mene Bua Bagha in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State on his emergence as the National Publicity Secretary of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Minerals Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCOM).
In a statement, Senator Abe described the feat as well deserved and urged Mene Baridam to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the management of the office.
