RCD Academy, Eaglets To Honour Late Coach In Imo
The Real Club Deportivo Academy (RCD) Espanyol ) in Nigeria and the national under 17 football team, Golden Eaglets are set to honour late coach Christopher Nwachi with a friendly match scheduled for Mbano, Imo State later this month.
The Port Harcourt Director of the RCD Stanley Wariso, who disclosed this during an interview with Tdesports said that the match is in memory of the founder of the club, coach Christopher Nwachi who died recently.
According to Wariso, the death of coach Nwachi came as a shock to the club, saying that, it is a great loss to the RCD in Nigeria.
“His death came to us as a shock, he was a just man, the only one who brought partnership with a foreign club from Barcelona to Nigeria”, he said.
However, Wariso stated that the club has been working hard to go places after celebrating it’s two years anniversary last year in Port Harcourt Rivers State.
“The club would continue in its quest to promote sports at the grassroots and to excel in its objectives as a team. Achieving these would be part of our contributions to keeping the memory of the founder, Coach Christopher Nwachi, alives he said.
