LG Donates Computers To Law Graduates
The Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, has donated 10 laptops to law graduates from the area to enable them to pursue their programme at the Nigerian Law School.
Chairman of the Council, Mr Amida Abudu, made the disclosure in an interview newsmen in Iworo, Badary, on Tuesday.
“Olorunda LCDA decided to support the law graduates who are going to the Law School because the management of that school has made the possession of a laptop a pre-requisite for each of the students,” he said.
The council boss said that the decision to support the graduates was taken because of the priority the administration placed on education.
“Let me congratulate the beneficiaries and urge them to move the country’s judicial system to an enviable height, since it is the last hope of the common man,” he said.
He urged them to use the computers judiciously.
Our correspondent reports that the beneficiaries of the laptops are Ajose Oluwadamilare, Ibileru Joshua, Alagbe Gbenga, Beyioku Igbekele and Lanre James.
Others are Hunpe Sesede, Alfred Pedatin, Shanu Funsho, Abiona Motunrayo and Gbenga Peters.
Abudu also disclosed that apart from the re-construction of 22 school buildings, the LCDA had established an Information Communication Technology centre (ICT) in the area.
