Ikuru Gives Recipe For Marriage Success
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele Ikuru has charged Christian couples to, always seek for and rely on divine intervention in all their life endeavours.
Engr. Ikuru gave this charge over the weekend during a wedding reception in honour of Mr. Okezie Ogali and Miss Flora Koko at the Open Heaven Parish Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Port Harcourt Club 1928, Port Harcourt.
The State Deputy governor declared, “it is only when you bring God into your marriage affairs and all your life endeavours that you can be successful and prosperous”.
He said the couples have a duty to make every effort at ensuring that their marriage is a success by keeping to their marital vows, expressing optimism that the marriage between Flora and
Okezie will succeed as they had maintained enviable life virtues before the wedding, urging them to make love the prime ingredient of their marriage.
Earlier, at the wedding services, Pastor in-charge of Province Four of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Deinma Dikibo, who took his sermon from Genesis 2:24 had described marriage as” an institution in the heart of Gold, a union between a man and a woman, to the exclusion of any other person, stating that marriage would be permanent if the couple are closest to each other and have ensured they cleave to themselves, without admitting unwholesome side-distraction.
He admonished husbands to love their wives and the wives to submit to the authority of their husbands in order to enjoy a blissful marriage, noting that problems exist in every marital relationship, advising that such problems be tackled together by trusting God.
