U-17 Gets New Coach
Manu Garba has been named the new national Under-17 coach by the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF).
Garba will be assisted by former international Emmanuel Amuneke and Under-17 World Cup-winning captain Nduka Ugbade.
Former Under-17 goalkeeper Emeka Amadi was named the goalkeeper trainer. Garba was assistant coach under the late Yemi Tella when Nigeria won the Under-17 Wold Cup in 2007, and will be expected to replicate the same achievements with his current squad.
Garba takes over from John Obuh, who was moved up to the Under-20 job after leading his wards to the Final of the World Cup where they lost 0-1 to Switzerland.
