Female Indigent Undergraduate Bags Scholarship
A Port Harcourt-based Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Kate Bee Foundation (KBF), has offered an undergraduate scholarship to an indigent female parishioner of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Open Heaven Parish, GRA, Port Harcourt.
The Vice President of the Foundation, Mr. Biobele Dawariboko, who announced this during a thanksgiving service in commemoration of its third anniversary, said the offer was in line with its vision of poverty alleviation through the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and youths.
He explained that the foundation was determined to empower fresh graduates of tertiary institutions to enable them create and manage medium and micro level enterprises as well as contribute to gender mainstreaming in policies and programmes.
Mr. Dawariboko, therefore, advised women and youths in the state to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the foundation and improve themselves.
Earlier in his sermon at the service, a guest preacher, Pastor Soberekon said thanksgiving was an appreciation of what God had done and served as a weapon of warfare in anticipation of more, noting that when one gives thanks, one is qualified for another miracle.
The cleric noted that the time for abundance was determined by God who gives to all who obey His precepts the power to make wealth and called on all to rededicate themselves to God.
The thanksgiving service was attended by the Founder and President of the Foundation, Dr. Christy George, among top dignatries.
Kate Bee Foundation was founded in 2008 with a mission to create millionaires for God by assisting men and women attain their full potentials to enable them to sustainably break away from the curse of poverty.
