Samsung Introduces New Dual-SIM Devices
Samsung electronics, one of the global leaders in mobile phone manufacturing has introduced its three new range of dual SIM mobile phone products into Nigerian market.
The newly introduced dual SIM phone are Samsung E1225F-Lesedi-SIM Socket, Samsung E2152-Pampas-Dual SOM and Samsung B7722-SORENTO-DUOS (Dual Standby).
The vice president, Samsung Visual Display Division, Kyungsik Kevin Lee while unveiling the products Tuesday, in Lagos, said the EI225F-Lesedi-SIM Socket was a dual SIM phone that is capable of dual SIM Socket with one SIM Card been activated at a time.
Lee revealed that the device is a handset with a 1-8 inch QQVGA TFT screen, adding that it sports a unique diagonally rounded edge chasis for enhanced grip with pseudo-rubber key pads for better SMS comfort.
He said that it also features large LCD screen, powerful LED torchlight (with 7.5 Lux candle brightness), high fidelity speakers and FM radio that works without headset, noting that it supports an impressive 1000 phone book contact and 200 SMS memory and comes with security features like SOS message and fake calls.
The E2152-Pampas-Dual SOM, Lee said is capable of dual-SIM usage and dual-standby.
“This means that both SIM cards are on standby simultaneously. The device has one radio frequency system so that only one SIM is active when in use,” he stated.
He maintained that the ergonomic design and compact size of the Samsung E2152 makes it easy to use with better grip, stating that the phone was 111.6X46.3X13.5MM slim and has terraced keypad for easy messaging and an LCD screen of 2 inch.
The Samsung Vice President also said that the versatile feature set of the phone includes a VGA camera with recording, MP3 player with micro SD card and powerful speakers.
The Samsung B7722, according to him, was capable of dual-usage, dual standby and dual-operating.
“This is the most powerful solution of Samsung for Dual-SIM. The device has 2 functional systems so that each line can be operated separately and simultaneously meaning that when one SIM is on the line, the other SIM is still active,” he revealed.
He further stated that the products were in line with the organisation’s continuous improvements on innovation for its products line- ups.
