NIIT To Partner Govt On Educational Dev
The management of NIIT,, a subsidiary of Del and Bell Nigeria Limited, says the company has provided educational training and entrepreneurial market realities to Nigerians both in the public and private sectors.
The Director, Operation, of the company, Mr. Tari Etete, said this during an excursion to the company by students of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Uwana, Afikpo, Ebonyi State.
Mr. Etete, who specifically said that more than two million persons have benefited from the company’s services, stressed the need for more investment in capacity building by states in the Niger Delta.
He thanked the students for the choice of the company and urged them to be serious with their studies.
Also speaking, a lecturer in the school, Mr. Ugbaza Uchenna, said that it was the tradition of the school to always take her students on excursion with a view to exposing them to the industrial sector of the economy.
Mr. Uchenna said the choice of NIIT for the excursion this time around, was as a result of the company’s stride in the world of Information Technology (IT).
“We are here on excursion. It is part of our yearly adventure that we take our students on yearly excursion to get them exposed to the industrial sector”, he said.
