FAAN Partners Foreign Airline On Aviation Dev
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has pledged to partners with foreign airlines towards the growth of aviation in the country.
Managing Director of FAAN, Mr. Richard Aiswebeogun who made the pledge while welcoming officials of United Airlines in his office last week said that development in Aviation is driven by cooperation between airlines and airports management authorities.
Aisuebeogun said development in a growing economy is all about developing relationships between airlines and airports Authority.
According to him, we are always very execited when new airlines express interest in flying into our airports. It tranaclates into more revenue, increate in the scale of our airport category in terms of operations and shows the level of our growth.
FAAN boss informed the visiting airliners that the major objective of FAAN is to promote route development and increase the number of the airlines operating in the West Africa sub region.
He said Nigeria review the best destination that would serve as a hub for the entire region.
He noted that the Nigerian Market is just emerging adding that all the major foreign airlines plying the routes are recording growth in traffic figure, hence their request for additional frequencies.
He assured that airlines of easy access to all available facilities since they came in through Bi-lateral Air Service Agreement.
Aiswebeogun acknowledge that the growth of the route was gradual but sure and continuous. He assured the official from United Airlines of FAAN’s support in setting down to become part of a big family in the African continent.
