Rep, Ex-Lawmaker Hail Wike Over Development In Ogoni
The lawmaker representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt Hon Dumnamene Dekor has hailed Governor Nyesom Wike over the infrastructural development of Ogoni land.
Dekor who said this during the grand finale of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government election campaign rally in Bori, Khana Local Government Area said Governor Wike had done what previous governors has not done for the Ogonis.
The federal lawmaker particularly commended the governor for the on-going dualisation of the Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono road.
He said the party was ready for the April 17 local government election, adding that all units and wards in the area will deliver candidates of the party.
Meanwhile, former Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Befile Nwile has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Nwile who was a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said his own decision to dump his former party for the PDP was based on the achievements of Governor Nyesom Wike in Khana Local Government Area.
He praised Governor Wike for awarding contract for the second phase of Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono Road as well as other infrastructural developments in Ogoni.
Meanwhile, a former Senator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Lee Maeba has sued for unity among members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Khana Local Government Area.
