RSG Commits To Etche Link Road Completion
The Rivers State Government has assured the people of Etche that the on-going 21 kilometer road linking Umuoye and Odufor will soon be completed.
Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning, Mr. Austin Ben Chioma who said this during Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally at Mba Clan in Etche Local Government Area said the road which also links Akpoku is one of Governor Wike’s legacies to the people of Etche.
He said the numerous projects of Governor Wike in Etche local government area have underscored the need for the people to vote for PDP during the April 17 2021 Local Government election.
The commissioner said the massive turn out of the people for the rally showed that Etche is PDP and PDP is Etche.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party in Etche Local Government Area has threatened to sanction party members, who engage in anti-party activities.
Chairman of the party in the area, Barrister John Otamiri said his office had been inundated with several petitions on the activities of some members who engage in anti-party activities. According to him, the party will deal decisively with every members, adding that the party has internal mechanism for settling grievances.
Otamiri also called on the people of Mba Clan to come out en masse and vote for all candidates of the party during the elections.
Also speaking, the party chairmanship candidate, Mr. Obinna Elvis Anyanwu, said no part of the Local Government Area would be neglected in project execution.
Anyanwu who is also the incumbent chairman of Etche Local Government Council said the incoming administration would not only consolidate on its past achievements but would embark on more projects as well as human empowerment.
He commended the people for their continuous support for the PDP.
