Alumni Commission Directional Road Signs Project In Varsity
As part of its contributions to ease and facilitate movements and tracing of locations within the university campus, the Rivers State University (RSU)Alumni Association, ,Rivers State branch, has commissioned a Directional Road Signs project with safety cautions in the university campus
The project was the second executed by the out-going executive of the branch within their three years in the office.
Speaking at the commissioning of the project at the main gate of the institution on Wednesday,the Acting Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Opuenebo Binya Owei, lauded the association for the project would help both students and visitors to the institution have ease to locate their destinations,adding that the project was Very important to the university.
Also speaking, the National President of the Association,mr Isreal Egbuneful while thanking the state executive of the association over the project, urged university graduates especially the lecturers who graduated from the university to join the association in building the university.
He said the executive was made a remarkable impact in the university.
Earlier in her remarks, the Branch Chairman of the association ,Amb. (Mrs ) Orusoso .L. Isokariari, said the executive within the 36 months executed two key projects in the university campus .
According to her, the first project was the construction of 10.000 litre GP tank sumo pumps and borehole facility at the NDDC hostel to provide water supply and thanked the institution management for their cooperation to the executive in the execution of the projects
