Varsity To Sanction Students Over Rules Violation
The management of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has threatened to sanction any student who violates the University’s rules and regulations.
The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Professor Blessing Didia, issued the threat during the 2018/2019 Orientation programme organised for fresh students of the University.
The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Professor Blessing Didia who expressed concern over the spate of cultism in parts of the country, counselled the students not to allow themselves to be lured into the crime.
Didia who assured the students of the commitment of management of the University to provide an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning urged the students to report bad lecturers who exploit them in course of their studies.
The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University however, urged the students to pay their school fees on time to enable them write their examinations.
Chairman of the Occasion and Dean ,Faculty of Science, Valantine Omubo-Pepple, admonished the fresh students to hit the ground running in order to graduate in flying colours.
Registrar of the University, Mrs Victoria Jamabo also told the students to exhaustively study their Students Guide in other to keep themselves abreast of the workings of the university.
