NSE Inducts 82 Into PH Branch Fellowship
The Port Harcourt branch of the Nigeria society of Engineers (NSE) has inaugurated 80 new members and two others into the distinguished fellowship cadre of the society.
Speaking at the ceremony held in Port Harcourt on Saturday, the Chairman of the branch, Engr. Precious Bob-Manuel said that induction of new members into the society was a vital aspect of their existence as it signified the admission of future leaders of the body.
Engr. Bob-Manuel opined that although the registration process was tedious but was designed to test their resilience, excellence decency and diligence which are qualities every engineer should posses, and congratulated the inductees for possessing these qualities.
He enjoined them as members of the Port Harcourt branch of NSE, which is the apex branch of the society, to exhibit diligence and promotion of excellence, adding that in the last 20 years, the branch had been crowned the best in the country for eight years, because of her achievement and advised them to uniquely position themselves to make positive impact of their profession in all their conduct and endeavours.
The NSE branch Chairman asserted, “The NSE Certificate you will receive today is not just for bragging rights and upliftment of your CV’s but it is also an instrument of service to engineering body and a commitment to the development of engineering in the county and enjoined them to build NSE of their dream.
Engr. Bob-Manuel noted that it was an exceptional privilege of celebrating some members who have distinguished themselves in their professional practices and serves and humanity, and congratulated Engr. Emem Olovie and Engr. Abraham Onduku for their conferment as new fellows of the branch, saying that the body is proud of them as the reward for hard work is for more work, adding that are willing to tap their wealth of experience for the development of the society.
