Proprietress Wants Students To Imbibe School’s Ideology
The Proprietress of Dietam International Schools, Mrs Kate LongJohn has called on the graduands and students of the school to always maintain the ideology and represent the image of the school well in the society.
Mrs LongJohn also said that as ambassadors of the school, they must fly the flag and the philosophy of the school high which, according to her, was hinged on morality, hard work and fear of God.
She made this assertion in Port Harcourt recently, during the 2017/2018 academic/graduation ceremony, adding that the school would miss the graduating students.
According to her, the management, teachers and students live and work as a family and added that their departure from the school would leave an unforgettable feelings and memories.
The proprietress urged the passing out students to always remember what they learnt while in the school by becoming true ambassadors of Christ and shining lights in the society, even as she congratulated them on the numerous feats they achieved in the school.
Also speaking, the chairperson of the occasion, Mrs Pauline Obasi lauded the students for their brilliant performances and exhibitions at the ceremony, adding that it was a reflection of a good work of moral upbringing by the management of the school.
Obasi while congratulating the graduands urged them not to abandon their books because of the holiday period but should use the opportunity provided by the long holiday to learn new things that will help them in life.
In their various speeches at the event, the out-going senior prefect (boy), Samuel Obasi and her female counter part, Hilary Azery on behalf of their colleagues thanked the school management for impacting positively in their lives and promised to uphold the principles and philosophy of the school.
