Wike’s Legacies Have Put His Detractors To Shame -Nsirim
The Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim has described Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as a statesman and committed leader who has shown uncommon love for the development of the state.
The Permanent Secretary made the declaration while addressing a delegation of Old Boys Association of Government Secondary School, Okporowo Ogbakiri during a courtesy visit in his office, recently.
He said Governor Wike’s development strides in the state were enduring legacies that had put his detractors to shame.
He pointed out that the convivial economic climate and security in Rivers State had made the state an investment hub, with unfettered attraction to various organisations which preferred to host their seminars and programmes in the state.
He added that the prestigious laurels won by the governor from various reputable organsiations, such as Silverbird group, and The Sun publications limited, among others were clear testimonies of the Governor’s commitment to quality leadership despite the paucity of fund to the state.
Nsirim who thanked the delegation of old boys for the courtesy call, described the visit as a happy reunion, and promised to be a worthy ambassador of the school through adroit commitment in the discharge of his official duties.
He called on Rivers people to throw their support behind Governor Wike to enable him deliver more quality projects in the state.
He also called on old students of various schools in Rivers State to join hands with government to promote quality education, by creating awareness on the ideals of honesty, hardwork and excellence.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and pioneer Senior Prefect of Government Secondary School, Okporowo Ogbakiri, Henry Eyinda George had stated that the visit was to identify with one of their own on his elevation as Permanent Secretary.
He expressed confidence in the capability of Pastor Nsirim to deliver on his new appointment and thanked Governor Wike for finding him deserving of the appointment.
