Needs Assessment Team Okays Work In IAUE
Chairman of the
Needs Assessment Intervention Monitoring Team (NAIMT), Professor Kimse Okoko, has expressed satisfaction with the quality of work going on at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE).
He made the expression recently when he led members of the team on inspection of on-going projects in the institution.
While assuring that the inspection was transparent the professor said the team’s report will be based on what had been seen and documents made available.
Specifically, he expressed satisfaction over the renovation of two hostels which are now put into use, and supply of equipment, which were seen at the store.
He was also impressed by the quality of ongoing hostel projects that are at different stages of completion.
Based on these and other findings, Professor Okoko hinted that the team is likely to recommend that the next tranche of funds for the Needs Assessment be made available to the university.
He however appealed to the consultants and contractors to speed up their pace of work so that by their next visit, the projects would have been completed.
In his speech, Vice Chancellor of IAUE, Professor Joseph Kinanee, thanked the team for hououring the university’s call for help and promised that he would ensure the consultants and contractors expedient progress of work in order to ensure that they are ready for inspection by the next visit.
