Ekong, noted that since the station was state-owned, that it would make the best use of the opportunity.
He explained that digital broadcasting was the in thing now, adding that the corporation would not think twice about embracing the system.
The RSTV boss also called on media practitioners in-the State, especially those of the electronic media to avail themselves of the opportunity and as well, get trained in the system.
Chief executives of other state-owned electronic media houses, who also spoke at the event, said it was a welcomed development, going by the happenings around the world.
They maintained that analogue system of news reporting was no longer practised in any part of the globe, regretting that the country was yet to adopt the system.
A representative of the company (CONSAT), Mr Fumi Adewoni told our reporter that its system would enable what she described as free-to-air service.
According to her, the system would also attract the sum of N1,000 per annum in order to enable subscribers have access to what it called 10 plus free channels and other services.
