“There is the need for us all to support ourselves and proactive measures to prepare for and mitigate the effects of disasters”.
Orelope-Adefulire said that the objective of the summit was to map out strategies to be employed for saving lives and property during disaster.

The deputy governor said that the state government would gather experts in healthcare and safety to provide solutions to problems posed by realities of today’s world.
The Ghanaian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi, said that there was the need for collaboration in emergency management.
