Kaduna Warns Against Late Resumption Of Schools
Kaduna State Government last Thursday warned pupils and students against late resumption of schools, after the three week Christmas and New Year break.
The Commissioner for Education, Malam Ibrahim Ali, gave the warning through his Information Officer; Mrs Jummai Adamu, in Kaduna.
Ali decried the consistent late resumption to schools by some pupils and students, which he said always affect the school calendar and contributes immensely to the fallen standard of education in the state.
He urged parents and guardians to send their children and wards to school on Jan. 6, the resumption date, to avoid punishment or sanctions by the authority.
Ali urged parents to also play their role in the transformation of the education sector.
He advised parents and guardians to endeavour to monitor and evaluate the school work of their children and wards.
Ali said that additional 1,800 teachers were recently recruited by the state government to boost the quality of education in public schools.
He, therefore, reiterated the commitment of the state government towards improving access to quality education.
