MTN PromisesN30m Grant For Youths
MTN Nigeria has promised to give N30 million to three winners of its ‘MTN Budding Entrepreneur Business Grant’.
The General Manager, Corporate Communications of MTN, Mrs Funmi Omogbenigun, disclosed this to our correspondent in Lagos on Wednesday.
She said that the grant was to promote entrepreneurial initiatives among Nigerian youths and would be part of the activities scheduled for MTN Leadership Seminar holding from April 24 to April 27.
Omogbenigun said that the three youths, with the best entrepreneurial ideas, would undergo six months mentoring programme with Dr. Farrah Gray, a 27- year old American multi-millionaire businessman.
According to her, the seminar is part of MTN’s commitment to empower and enrich lives of its customers, especially the youths.
“MTN, in the last four years, has brought in renowned speakers like LesBrown, Chris Gardner and David Plouffe to speak to Nigerians on topics bordering on entrepreneurship, strategy, motivation amongst others.
“Formerly, tagged the MTN Motivational Series, the project has been revamped and repackaged as the MTN Leadership Seminar to bring more value to her customers and the general public,’’ the manager said.
Omogbenigun said that the seminar would enable MTN customers move ahead in life and inspire the ‘Can-Do spirit’ in them.
It was gathered Dr. Farrah Gray, the American businessman, became a millionaire at the age of 14.
The theme of this year’s Leadership Seminar is “Breaking the Success Myth’’.
