School Of Health Provost Gets Kudos
The Association of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Assistants of Nigeria (AMELTAN), has commended the Provost of the College of Health Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Dr Nnanna Onyekwere for his efforts in raising the standard of the institution.
The Natinal President of AMELTAN, Comrade Samuel Isijana made the commendation when the National Working Committee of the Association of Medical Laboratory College of Health Science and Technology paid him a courtesy visit recently. They said they were satisfied with the sterling leadership qualities of the provost who had transformed the college.
Comrade Isijama informed the Head of Department (HOD) that AMELTAN was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), explaining that the aims and objectives of the association were to foster the spirit of oneness, peace, unity and love among members.
He said the association was promoting a working relationship between medical laboratory scientists and technicians as well as the assistants throughout Nigeria and work to protect the lives of mankind as its primary assignment.
The national president noted that the association was faced with some challenges which included the issuance of identity cards and licenses to its members.
