Regent Charges KMF To Champion Kalabari Cause
The Regent of Kalabari Kingdom, Alabo Charles Numbere Amachree, has called for greater unity among Kalabari people to move the Kingdom forward.
He made the call recently when Kalabari media practitioners, under the aegis of Kalabari Media Forum (KMF) paid him a courtesy visit.
Alabo Amachree charged members of the KMF to use their professional skills and outlets to champion the unity and progress of the Kalabari Kingdom.
Speaking earlier on behalf of the forum, the Cordinator, Alabo Dagogo Clinton, said sons and daughters of Kalabari Kingdom in the media profession decided to come together, under the KMF, to advocate for the progress and development of Kalabari Kingdom, assuring that the group will do its best in bringing Kalabari people together to realise the dreams of their founding fathers.
“Kalabari Kingdom, and as a people”, he said, “have all that is required to do better than they are doing presently in Rivers State, and Nigeria at large. We just need to come together and forge a common front in vital areas, and keep whatever internal differences we may have aside”.
Other members among the KMF entourage were the South-South Vice President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Opaka Dokubo; Harry Macmorrison of Radio Nigeria; a former Press Secretary, Asari-Toru Local Government Area (ASALGA), Asi Prince Dateme; former Acting Editor of The Tide Newspaper, Ibim Amieyeofori; former Secretary, NUJ, Rivers State Council, and current Business Editor of The Tide Newspaper, Soibi Max-Alalibo; and Kariba Harry.
