CAN Sues For Peace In Andoni
Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Andoni Local Government Chapter, Rt. Rev. James F. Egbe has sued for peace in the area.
Egbe said this in an interview with newsmen at the end of a four-day mountain camp 2021 organised by Home of God Vineyard Mission in Port Harcourt.
Egbe who is the Presiding Bishop of the church called on various cult group in the local government to forgive one another and seek the face of God.
He commended the Chairman of Andoni Local Government Council, Barrister Erasmus Awortu for ensuring peace in Andoni.
Egbe said the mountain camp 2021 with the theme: “Jesus Is The Answer” was to prepare believers for the coming of Christ which according to him, is at hand.
The cleric said signs of the coming of Christ are manifesting, stressing that christians need to be aware of the end time.
Also speaking, state Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Senior Apostle Stanley Dimkpa said he was in the programme to encourage the church.
Dimkpa said CAN under his leadership will always encourage younger churches to grow.
He also urged Christians irrespective of their denomination to unite and work together for the propagation of the gospel of Christ.
Also speaking, the Okan-Ama of Inyong Oron Asarama Andoni. HRH. King Rowland Ukot (Ifritam III) said time has come for Nigerians to embrace the gospel of Christ.
King Ukot said embracing the gospel of Christ will ensure peace in the country.
He commended Bishop Egbe for the annual mountain camp programme which according to him has led many people to know Christ.
Earlier, the guest preacher, Rev. John Emeka of Jesus Life Disciple Mission said believers must always give thanks to God.
He said thanksgiving brings God’s blessings.
