Staff Welfare Is Our Priority -RSNC GM
The Management of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC) says it will continue to give more attention to the welfare of staff.
The General Manager of the corporation, Mr. Celestine Ogolo said this during a courtesy call on him by the National Executive Committee of the National Union of Printing Publishing and Paper Product Workers of Nigeria (NUPPPPROW) in his office.
Mr. Ogolo also said that the management is satisfied with the conducts of NUPPPPROW members in the corporation.
On the internal crisis rocking the union, the General Manager said that the management has played a neutral role in the entire crisis and urged the National Executive to play a fatherly role to all the factions involve in the crisis.
He, however, commended the National President for the visit, adding that it shows that efforts are on to resolve the crisis and expressed the hope that his visit will surely bring peace to the union.
Earlier, the National Chairman of NUPPPPROW Comrade Papa Danjuma Kunini said that the visit was meant to iron out the differences in The Tide Chapter of the union.
Comrade Kunini thanked the RSNC management for the able manner in which the crisis was handled and stressed the need for regular intervention in crisis of the nature and informed the General Manger that the union will use its internal machinery to resolve it’s crisis and commended the GM for the reception inspite of the short notice.
