The commendation was the fallout of the 2009 conference of MCA in the Diocese held at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Okoro-Nu-Odo Deanery with the theme “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever”.
The four day conference also charged all men to show fidelity in their marriages, imbibe good values and remain committed in things of God to equip them meet life’s challenges.
In a communiqué signed by the Diocesan MCA President General, Sir Chuks Boms, the Secretary General, Sir Sam Ovu-Eleonu and Diocesan MCA Chaplain, Rev. Canon Chris Ogbuji, the conference urged the church to re-evaluate its existence and return to effective business of raising men and women that will shape the emergence of a new social order in the country.
It endorsed the creation of Dioceses not on the basis of personal gains or political consideration but to expand the gospel and bring it closer to the people.
But it reiterated the need for the Dioceses to network among themselves to promote quality growth, specialisation, community and reduction of unhealthy competition and disunity.

The gruesome murder of the Akpor Monarch, Ezo B.O.O. Oriebe also attracted the condemnation of the conference delegates who urged all men not to relent in prayers for God to unravel those behind the dastardly act.
While commending President Umar Musa Yar’Adua for the Niger Delta Amnesty Deal, the Conference appealed to the presidency to ensure the fulfillment of all promises made in the Deal even as it charged the Niger Delta Youths to give peace a permanent chance to usher in the much-desired socio-economic development in the region.
