Iriebe Pleads For Good Road Network
The people of Iriebe Community in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area has called on the Rivers State Government to consider the community for a good road network and drainages.
The President of Iriebe youth Assocation, Chief Godwin Ollah made the appeal in an interview with newsmen during a dinner party held to celebrate the victory of Chief Nyesom Wike, the Chief of Staff Government House at the Appeal Court.
Chief Ollah said that the deplorable condition of the Iriebe road has made the community unsuitable for human habitation.
He also urged for the construction of secondary school in the area to boost educational development.
The Youth President who also urged for the provision of electricity in the area said that the area will continue to support the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi led administration in the state.
Also speaking, the paramount ruler of Iriebe community HRH Eze Francis Amadi said that the community deserve a good road network inview of its contributions to the economy of the state.
Eze Amadi also urged the government to disregard the rumour that the people are anti government, stressing that such rumour are being peddled by enemies of the community.
N his speech the Chairman of the occasion Comrade Samuel Amadi thanked the people for standing behind the Chief of Staff and the state Government and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Highlight of the event was the cutting of the victory cake.
