He appealed to youths of Etche and Omuma Local Government Areas to shun politicians who want to use them to foment trouble in the forthcoming elections in the areas and stated that his administration was open to any individual or group with ideas and advice that could add value to the human and infrastructural upliftment of the Omuma local government.
On security challenges facing the two sister local governments, Hon Nwogu disclosed that he had started discussion with his counterpart in Etche Local Government Council, Hon Charles Anyanwu on the possibility of establishing a police post at Umuola side of the link bridge to complement the one at Umuokpurukpu community in Omuma in order to check the activities of nefarious elements on the road.
In an address, the Co-ordinator of EEPJA, Mr Chris Oluoh, said the visit was to solicit the support of the council boss and his Etche counterpart, to address the insecurity in the area.
The co-ordinator remarked that high rate of killings was defeating the objective of constructing that link road by the government.
The association further appealed to politicians and their supporters to avoid violence in the forthcoming elections in the country.
