FAAN Tasks Workers On Hardwork
The Regional General
Manager (RGM), South-South and South East of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs Ebele Okoye, has tasked staff of the authority through their airport managers to make hard work the watchword in the new year.
Mrs Okoye who stated this at a meeting held at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri last Friday noted, that the era of lackadaisical attitude to work in FAAN was over.
She noted the need for every worker to brace up to the challenges thrown up by the new environment in all the airports brought about by the remodeling of the airports.
The RGM said never in the history of FAAN has the type of facelift been witnessed now happened in the organisation and urged the workers to reciprocate.
According to her, “we must all live up to expectation, the world is watching in the handling of the new facilities provided, the screening machines must work perfectly. The toilets must be sparkling. We cannot continue with the old system of cleaning the terminals. Things must change”.
Okoye told the managers that staff must approach their work with all seriousness and hard work, especially with the transformation going on in the aviation industry.
“Transformation comes with more responsibilities and sharp reflexes. It comes with “I can do spirit,” therefore, we must sit up and ensure that we give our best to our job”, she declared.
