Agency Presents Starter Packs To Enterpreneurs
The Rivers State Sustain
able Development Agency (RSSDA) in conjunction with the international Centre for Micro Finance and Social Enterprises Nigeria Limited has presented Starter Packs to fifteen micro enterpreneurs in the state.
The Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, (RSSDA), Mr. Noble Pepple said that the gesture was in line with the determination of the Amaechi-led administration to create more entrepreneurs in the state.
Pepple said that, the programme would not only help the beneficiaries to be self employed, but would go a long way in creating employment opportunities for others in the state.
He further said that the programme would create room for more Micro entrepreneurs to be experts in their various fields and charged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the opportunity and repay the loans so that others could benefit.
Also speaking, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of International Centre for Micro Finance and Social Enterprises Nigeria Limited, Dr. Mostag Ahmed said that five Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) business incubator and branch offices had been established in Aluu, Mgbuoba, Buguma and Woji, adding that, more than three hundred micro enterpreneurs had been identified from Woji town alone.
He commended the agency for its partnership and urged the beneficiaries to take the programme seriously as it would help them to jump start their employment in line with the Governor’s vision.
Items given to the beneficiaries include industrial sewing machines, generators, air conditioners amongst others.
