The graduands, The Tide gathered had smooth transition from Nursery three.
Speaking to our correspondent during the graduation ceremony at the 3rd National Conference on Kindergarten Education in Port Harcourt, the supervisor of ESI schools in Rivers State, Dr. T.I. Dappa, noted that, the vision of the founder of ESI is to ensure that there is a kind of free and compulsory education for children in Nigeria.
Dappa said that the ESI schools are magnificent and if such schools were built by private individuals, the fees would be high, “but she is doing it voluntarily”.
According to Dr. Dappa, her vision is to ensure that the less privilege in the society have access to early childhood education without payment.
Speaking on the theme of the conference, “Legislation And Implementation of Kindergarton education In Nigeria; Issues and challenges”, the supervisor said the ESI is working to see how government can borrow the idea and give better and free Kindergarten education in Nigeria.
He said the ESI children are example to other children because according to him, they are being trained in a modern and model way using the modern instructional equipment.
