Egypt Air Command Agents On 80th Anniversary
Egypt Air said it has recovered from the impact of the civil
unrest that engulfed the country recently by increasing its frequencies to
five, weekly. The general manager of Egypt Air, Khalid El Rafie stated this at
an award dinner for the travel agents as part of the 80th anniversary
celebration of the carrier.
According to him, Egypt Air has made a lot of progress
especially in the last one year, to reduce its frequencies out of Lagos from
five to barelytwo flights, weekly in the wake of civil unrest year. He
explained that the airline had recovered from
impact of last year’s uprising as its service has equally grown from two
to five flights out of Lagos, six out of Abuja and five out of Kano.
El Rafie noted that the carrier has also able to improve its
relationship and with that succeeded in engaging more travel agents into its
Billing and settlement plan [BSP] platform.
A total of ten travel agents were given award certificate
for their brilliant performances in selling the carrier’s tickets in the last
fiscal year. They include God’s Power Travel, Aero land Travels, Good News
Travels and Satguru Travels all from Lagos. Others are Massarah Nigeria Limited
and Batijay Travels both in Abuja, while Arafat Air Services, Silver Wings
Travel, World Travel Tours and Classique
Air Service are from Kano.

first carrier to be established in Africa and the Middle East and the seventh in
