Tai Boss Gifts Official Cars To VC, Others To Ease Mobility
Tai Local Government Chairman, Sir Mbakpone Okpe, last Monday, handed over official vehicles to his vice, leader of the Legislative Assembly, and Secretary to Local Government, at the council’s headquarters at Saakpenwa.
Okpe while handing over the car keys to the beneficiaries noted that by law, the vice chairman, secretary and leader of the assembly, were entitled to official vehicles.
He further stressed that they had been discharging their official duties diligently without any vehicle and never complained because the comfort of Tai people was above their personal comfort.
He noted that it was for that reason that he felt they needed the vehicles now to easy mobility and facilitate other official duties that may be needed from them.
The cars that were handed over to them include A Toyota Venza for the Vice Chairman, Hon. Caroline Amanwa; a Lexus ES 350 for the Leader of the Legislative Assembly, Hon. Kenude Levi; and a Toyata Camry (Spider) for the Secretary of Council, Sir Joseph AkpoBari Gwezia.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hon. Caroline Amanwa, thanked the chairman for remembering them for the gift, and also prayed that God would bless and protect him for Tai people.
Similarly, the Local Government Chairman also extended his magnanimity to the Nigerian Army by procuring a motorcycle to ease their movement on some track roads in the local communities.
