RSU’s Three New Campuses Ready For Commissioning, VC Confirms
The Rivers State University has said that it has taken delivery of the three campuses of the institution sighted at Ahoada, Emohua and Abara, Etche in the state.
The Vice chancellor of the university, Prof Nlerum Okogbule disclosed this shortly after visiting the three campuses, last Friday.
Okogbule said all the structures were all complete; adding that what was remaining now was only the landscaping and other related works.
According to him, “The structures are all complete; and what is remaining now is the landscaping and other related jobs.
“Landscaping is also 60 and 70percent done, and we are hoping that they will also be completed by the end of this month”, he said.
Okogbule said the institution has taken delivery of the buildings, adding that management was waiting for its commissioning by the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike.
He said the development would lead to massive educational opportunities across the state.
The vice chancellor said the institution was also meeting with the communities to ensure security in and around the campuses.
Also speaking, the Ochimba of Abara, Etche, Eze Jonah Nwala, thanked Wike for considering the community for the project.
He promised that the community would protect the project from being vandalised.
