Mothers’ Day: Ariolu Eulogises Virtues, Values Of Women

Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barrister George Ariolu has commended women for showcasing true virtues and values as mothers in the state.
He said a virtuous woman was one whose place can be identified in her home and husband’s life.
The chairman gave this commendation while delivering a keynote address at a seminar tagged, “The Ultimate Search”, designed by women to impact on youths as part of activities marking the 2022 Mothers’ Day Celebration in the Anglican Diocese of Niger Delta North,yesterday.
Speaking at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Port Harcourt, Ariolu said the reason behind certain attitudes portrayed by couples can be traced to their family backgrounds which could either be a positive or negative influence on marriages.
Noting that patience and respect were key fundamental virtues in marriage, Ariolu charged parents to retrace their steps towards imbibing the old virtues of parenthood.
While urging parents to step up and educate the girl child on the virtues and morals of marriage, he decried the rate of divorces in marriages, describing it as alarming.
The chairman also expressed worries over the high level of moral decadence among youths in the nation, encouraging youths to always abstain from illicit activities that may pose as a threat to their future.
He further tasked youths to brace up and prepare themselves for further training and self-development in order to be successful people in the society.
Ariolu said that there was need for youths to be morally informed and aware of their environment to enable them remain on the right track of securing a better future for themselves.
He added that except youths partner God in every of their activities, there was bound to be more unsuccessful people scattered round the society.
Eulogising the Bishop of Niger Delta North, Rev Wisdom Ihunwo, and his wife, Mrs Mercy Ihunwo, Ariolu described them as a couple of infectious humility.
Congratulating Mrs Ihunwo on her birthday, Ariolu commended the bishop and his wife for their roles in youth development in the society.
Earlier in his address, Bishop of Niger Delta North, Rev Wisdom Ihunwo, described Ariolu as a man called by God to serve humanity, while charging youths to emulate his leadership qualities.
