Arik To Invest N50bn On A’Ibom Airport Dev
Arik Airlines says it will invest N50 billion worth of investment in future development of the Akwa-Ibom International Airport, Okobo, near Uyo.
Chairman of the Airlines, Sir Johnson Arumeni made the airlines plan known in his goodwill message, delivered during the re-opening of Akwa Ibom International Airport last Wednesday, shortly after Arik Air aircraft touched the tourf of the airport.
Aruineni who was represented by one of the Directors of the Airline, Senator Anietie Okon said Akwa Ibom airport would be another step for the economic development of the state.
He noted that the Airline was committed to partnering with the Akwa Ibom government to make the airport a success.
In his goodwill massage, the Minister of Aviation, Mr Babatunde Omotoba assured to recover its investment especially in the area of maintenance, repairs and overhauling.
The minister who arrived in the state with the maiden flight from Abuja, to Akwa Ibom with Arik airline commended the Akwa Ibom state government for its determination to complete the project.
