NIPOGA Judo Champion Ascribes Exit To Strange Injury
The 2010 Nigerian Polytenic Games Association (NIPOGA) Judo Champion, Miss Eubotukha Victoria Titilope, has blamed her semi final exit from the on-going National Sports Festival in judo on a strange injury.
Miss Titilope who is representing Cross River State at the game told Tidesports in an exclusive interview that she had meant to replicate her achievement in judo in the polytenic games at the Sports Games Festival, but regretted that her ambition was never realised.
The athlete who hails from Edo State, but currently on National Service in Cross River State, however said that she will not give up her ambition of becoming a National Sports Festival medalist.
“I have tried my best and I give God the glory. I had a full string at the semi final so I couldn’t move more than that, “she said.
She however described her exit as a big blow to the Cross River judo team, but noted that she hopes to work hard to ensure that she comes out victorious in the next National Sports Festival.
Miss Titilope also declared that it is her ambition to go into professional judo after her National Youth Service in Cross River State to enable her reap the benefits of the game.
She described Judo as lovely game that can create employment opportunities for youths in the country.
“If you are into judo, you can work anywhere, you have an opportunity of going into the military” she said.
