The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has condoled with the Chairman of Rivers State Bureau of Public Procurement, Prof Okey Onuchuku over the passage of his father, Late Chief Lazarus Orlu Onuchuku.
In a condolence message to the member of the Governing Council of University of Port Harcourt, the Governor prayed God to grant the Onuchuku family the fortitude to bear the “irreparable loss”.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Rivers State, I offer our heartfelt condolences and urge you to take solace in the good life he lived and his legacies which will continue to endure.
“May the Almighty God grant you and the rest of the Onuchuku family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss as we pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of your beloved father”, the Governor said.
Wike said that words are not enough to condole one who lost his father, but noted that his prayers and thoughts are with the Onuchuku family.
On Saturday, Wike joined other well wishers during the funeral service in honour of late Chief Lazarus Orlu Onuchuku at the Saint Luke Anglican Church, Emohua.
