Obuah Happy With Service Providers

The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah has expressed delight with the depth of neatness of areas visited yesterday in continuation of his daily monitoring exercise of Port Harcourt, the State capital and its environs to monitor compliance by service providers with his directive on waking up to their responsibilities.
Bro Obuah who made the remarks shortly after monitoring some major roads and streets in Port Harcourt, the State capital and its environs said the action of the service providers showed a resolve to take their jobs seriously.
While on the monitoring exercise along East West Road, Rumuokoro, Choba Road, Rumuola, Old Aba Road, Odili Road and Slaughter Road, the Sole Administrator remarked with pleasure that Port Harcourt, and its environs now wear a better look and further expressed joy that the service providers were working in tandem with the set objectives of the Agency, adding that such cooperation was necessary to actualise the vision and programmes of the Wike administration.
Bro Obuah, however, issued very stern warning to service providers covering Ojoto, Mile I Market, MCC to Rumuokoro axis to keep their zones clean or get sacked.
The Sole Administrator directed monitoring teams to daily update him on report situation on all roads in Port Harcourt, and its environs for appropriate action.
Bro Obuah also appealed to those living and doing business in Rivers State to adhere strictly to sanitation rules, by not dumping refuse outside the approved dumping time and at unauthorised places.
While restating that the agency would no longer tolerate indiscriminate dumping of refuse at unauthorised places and outside the government approved time of 6 pm to 12 midnight, the RIWAMA boss warned that the taskforce set up by the agency would apprehend defaulters and prosecute them accordingly.
“Our service providers from what we saw today are now living up to expectation and have helped us to achieve 75% success in our strive to clean Port Harcourt and its environs. While we thank you for the little you have done, it is a call for you to sustain the tempo”, the RIWAMA boss declared.
Bro. Obuah stressed that the dream to attain optimal cleanliness of Port Harcourt and its environs was a task that must be done, adding that with a little more effort from all service providers, the mission would surely be achieved.
