Mediocrity Has No Place In Aviation Business -NAMA Boss
The Managing Director of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Capt. Fola Akinkuotu has said that mediocrity has no place in aviation business.
He has also urged workers in the agency in particular to key into the agency’s vision of being a global player in the business of air navigation service provision.
Akinkuotu who disclosed this in a statement made available to aviation correspondents charged workers to strive for excellence and eschew mediocrity.
According to him, research are being carried out in aviation industry to ensure that air transport remains the safest and most dependable in the world, saying that through personal and collective efforts, NAMA will remain an integral part of the positive dynamism which the industry stands for.
“ You are not likely to make any meaningful impact when you can not inspire your subordinate to do the right thing. Any good leader must also be a role model for those that work under him.
“Collectively explore ways of addressing challenges of the agency by using your rich pool of ideas and experiences in a collaborative manner. Synergize and also share information among yourselves” Akinkuotu charged aviation workers.
The NAMA boss also expressed confidence that members of staff would build strategies for collective growth, saying however, that the current operating times call for renewed effort towards enhancing performance and managing air traffic more efficiently than before.
